Meet the Principal

Welcome from the Principal

Welcome to our school website! I’m Dr. Tina Garza, and I am honored to serve as your principal. My journey in education is rooted deeply in our community—I spent 16 wonderful years in the classroom teaching subjects like AP Biology and Environmental Systems at Harlingen High School before serving as the district's science specialist and ultimately stepping into campus leadership. As a scientist at heart with a Bachelor’s in Biology, I love fostering environments where curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning thrive.

When I’m away from campus, I love spending time outdoors and raising monarch butterflies—watching their incredible transformation is a constant reminder of the growth and potential inside every single student who walks through our doors! You might also be surprised to learn that I’m a certified dance instructor through the Texas Association of Teachers of Dance, so I’m always ready to bring energy, creativity, and rhythm to our school culture. I invite you to explore our site to learn more about our campus, and I look forward to an extraordinary school year filled with shared success!
